Executive Bureau
The Executive Bureau is responsible for following-up on and carrying out Policy Committee decisions, as well as for any other matter delegated to it by that Committee.
Its composition
The Executive Bureau is composed of CEMR’s president, the co-presidents, the executive presidents and a maximum of 10 vice-presidents. They are appointed by and from the members of the Policy Committee. The secretary general is also a Bureau member.
Its functions
The Executive Bureau's functions are the following:
- To provide an operative decision-making structure acting on behalf of the Policy Committee;
- To maintain political leadership in between biannual meetings of the Policy Committee;
- To debate timely or urgent political matters and to prepare upcoming meetings of the Policy Committee;
- To prepare upcoming meetings of the Policy Committee.
